Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Nickel Substituted Manganese Zinc Nanoferrites

چکیده

Magnetic oxides are naturally occurring minerals. In order to understand their unique properties and their utilization in technological applications, one must fully understand the correlation between chemistry, structure, particle size and processing. Among the broad classification of magnetic oxides, the spinel ferrites gain much importance because of their low cost, high magnetic permeability and low power losses which makes them suitable for high frequency applications. Although majority of ferrites contain iron oxide, there are some ferrites based on Mn, Ni, Zn and other elements. Ferrous ferrite is a completely inverse spinel whereas zinc ferrite is a normal spinel. Manganese ferrite and nickel ferrite is found to be a mixed spinel type (Alex Goldman 2006).
